On my recent jaunt to Orlando, we ate one evening at The Cheesecake Factory. I am aware that this is a pretty popular American chain but what enticed me was this little beauty:
When a restaurant has a dedicated gluten free menu it is generally pretty exciting stuff and this was no exception. There was a lot of choice and after a fair amount of deliberation I plumped for the burger (complete with gluten free bun – big tick!) with sweet potato fries and I was not disappointed.
Sorry the photos aren’t great, it was pretty dark in the restaurant hence this burger shot does not do this juicy burger justice. The burger was so moist and there was no skimping on the meat, the bun was also not dry (bonus) and the sweet potato fries – well, who doesn’t like sweet potato fries?
There is obviously a large selection of cheesecakes to choose from and one of them happens to be gluten free. Having blown all my day’s calories on the entree alone I thought I may as well complete the gluttony and polish off the evening with a piece of cheesecake. Apologies for the lack of photo, it was demolished too quickly so as you can probably assume, it was pretty darn good!
All in all one very satisfied Cheesecake Factory customer. Unfortunately, their gluten free menu is not displayed on their website for you to drool over – c’mon Cheesecake Factory!
If you are planning to visit the States The Cheesecake Factory would be one of my top recommendations. Gluten free cheesecake? It would be rude not to!
