As the weather is still pretty cold and dark outside sometimes you need something warming and comforting on your plate. Step in Genius pies. Pies are a brilliant freezer staple that you can serve up with some mashed potato, tons of veggies and a nice bit of gravy. The other night I served up just that!

If you like shortcrust pastry then this pie might be right up your street; it’s buttery, slightly crumbly and melts in the mouth. Encased in the pastry are generous chunks of chicken in a rich gravy. I know there are a few companies out there making gluten free pies at the moment but my freezer is happy with Genius at the moment 🙂
