What miserable weather we have been having in the UK the last few days, the evenings are feeling much chillier and the Birkenstocks have been cast to one side whilst warm socks and boots grace my feet instead! Saying that the sun has decided to grace us with its presence today which is very much appreciated. Something about edging into the colder months excites me though – hot chocolate, log fires and cosy nights in in front of the TV with a scary film. One thing that I will be having most mornings is porridge. I must confess, I do tend to have porridge year round but even more so over winter. I generally opt for simple porridge oats made up with a little almond milk and topped with blueberries but sometimes it’s nice to get all fancy on the oat front which is where Perk!er

You must have all heard about this fab company by now – they are known for their gorgeous breakfast range and insane sweet snacks (gluten free tiffin and rocky road bars!). The porridge above is perfect for warming your belly on a cold morning and who can resist the smell of cinnamon and apple wafting through your kitchen. I imagine this would make a brilliant crumble topping too (ohh now that’s got me thinking!).
